Bead Soup Party Time!

I'm very excited to be participating in my first Bead Soup Party!  This event is hosted by bead jewelry artist Lori Anderson who has paired up each participant with another bead enthusiast.  The bead soupers send their partners a focal bead, clasp, and complimentary beads which the partner will mix in a dash of their own bead stash to create a finished piece of jewelry!

I was very happy to find out my swap partner is Emanda J from Artemisia's Studio.  Emanda and I share the love of the sea, and I am fascinated at her knowledge and love of nature and wildlife.  Emanda is an artist and art historian from Dallas/Fort Worth Texas, and she creates gorgeous earrings with lampwork beads,

beautiful prayer bead jewelry as well as incredible colorful angel wings from pewter.
She's also a quilter and enjoys all types of art mediums. Emanda says her jewelry designs and other creations are inspired by her knowledge of medieval and renaissance art and architecture.
Art Quilt Older than Stonehenge

I can't wait to see the batch of beautiful soup elements Emanda is whipping up to send my way!  I'll be sure to update you on the beads and the end result!

Emanda's beautiful creations can be found here in her Artemisia Studio Etsy shop!

  1. Lisa,
You are such a sweetheart! Thanks for saying so many nice things about me and my art. I will be spending a few hours getting your goodies together here in the next couple of days. I hope you will enjoy it. I will also post a blog-post about the blog party and my bead-partner (you!) tomorrow evening -- (the day job is eating my lunch!).
