Welcome to Lisa's Clay Happenings! It's time for the big Bead Soup Party Reveal! ~
362 lucky participants signed up for Lori Anderson's Bead Soup Blog Party to swap, design, connect, and share the results of our creative works!
Here's what I received from my bead soup partner Laurie Hanna. Laurie sent me this incredibly detailed lampwork focal she made along with a sweet little sterling horse button by Cathy Dailey, some silver components and a really gorgeous mix of blue beads. I typically work with ceramic and larger hole beads, so this soup challenged me to try some new techniques and designs. You can find Laurie's beautiful beaded jewelry and lampwork pieces in her Etsy shop Laurie's Jewel Box. Please stop by Laurie's blog as well and see what she made with the beads I sent her!
As you may be able to tell, I'm pretty "jazzed up" about this soup. Once I started playing with this mix, I enjoyed every twist and turn that came about. I'm really pleased with the final pieces and had so much fun throughout the process! I look forward to hearing what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by.
The Hostess, Lori Anderson and her partner, Manuela Wutschke

ReplyDeleteWonderful soup & jewelry! And fun way of presenting the finished products - love the music :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in blues - and I'm still boogyin' from the party music in your video! Good soup!
ReplyDeleteI am SO sorry for being late — today our internet provider decided to crash. My stress level is through the roof, to say the least! They’re still working on it, but it’s like dial-up.
ReplyDeleteI love the textures and the dangles and how clever to do a video! You really did a great job with all those blues mixing well. I've found I have a hard time with blue -- they can clash in just the tiniest bit of shade difference, but you did a fantastic job!
I hope you participate again!
Love, Lori
Beautiful wonderful I love every piece!!! Great job and your video is such fun!! add that to my list of things to learn to do!!! Fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteI love your own work as well!! Where are you in NH?? I have some roots back there!! I love your blog and joined in to Follow!!! Great to meet you!!
My favorite bead soup reveal so far - in a word, AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteThat turned out so pretty. Although I'm not a big fan of blue I love the way you put it all together. And that focal is awesome. The little dangle earrings on chain are so cute, too. Nice.
ReplyDeleteThat's so nice! Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteNo worries Lori - sorry to hear about the computer issues - not the best when you're trying to visit 362 blogs I'm sure! Hope things are better now. So glad you like my creations. Thanks so much for hostessing another amazing swap!
Thanks Elizabeth for the follow! Great to meet you too. The hardest part of the video was figuring out how to import music but I finally figured it out. I'm from Tuftonboro which is in the Lakes Region. It's getting chilly already and the leaves are starting to turn! Ahh! Oh well - it's pretty. :)
How original to make a video! I love blues, and you did a lovely job with these!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Lisa! I am partial to the color blue myself! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all the blues and how you put them together~!
ReplyDeleteLove the pieces...good job. The music took me way back...oh the memories.
ReplyDeleteThank you sooo much for the kudos also.
Those pieces are great... they would be great for a beach holiday!
ReplyDeleteGreat work and the video was such a fun way to present it. I'd like to learn how to do that. Did you find a tut online?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the video Linda. I was using Windows Movie Maker and was only able to import limited file types. I didn't have a tutorial, but I downloaded some free software, FoxTab Audio Converter and was able to covert the file to something I could use. So I do recommend that if you find yourself having trouble with music files.
Love the pieces you made and the video was fun too.
ReplyDeleteI love your finished piece! It is very Caribbean in the morning, very beachy! Nice work!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness...your soup is DELICIOUS my Friend!!! I adore your design, it's truly stunning! Well done, another AMAZING cup of BEAD SOUP from a very talented designer!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteExquisite design and gorgeous colors -- bravo! We’re all being pushed outside our comfort zones — with amazing results!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the hop,
Emanda
