My bead soup mix arrived from Laurie the other day! I couldn't have been more excited when I opened up the package, and found this incredible mix of blues, silver.....
and this amazingly detailed lampwork focal bead! Laurie makes lampwork beads, so I think this may be one that she made. The camera doesn't do this bead justice, it's absolutely stunning with it's layers and swirls of rich deep blues, aqua, earth tones and a hint of plum.
The bead strands Laurie included have a variety of textures and hues, and go so well with the colors in the lampwork bead. It's obvious she took a lot of care in selecting just the right tones.
and look at this beautiful little sterling clasp with an etched horse ~ So sweet!
I typically work with ceramic and larger hole beads, so these will be a challenge for me, but I'm having a lot of fun trying to figure out the possibilities of how they will come together!
Thanks so much Laurie for such a wonderful mix!
Stay tuned for the Bead Soup Party Blog Hop on September 17th, where all the participants will show off what they made!
Those are beautiful colors, and a stunning focal. I think your pic did a great job showing the lovely colors.
